I Am/Samantha Amasone

I am water.
An almost idyllic life rippled by under currents
Too deep to glimpse the sun.
I am the conflict at my crossroads
forged as if in a Dream that goes on and on
watching for the decision to be made not realizing it is my own.

I am a parallel of my mistakes
Trusting the bear saying
“I’ll keep you safe”
like picking the thorn amongst the flower.
I am from my mistakes.

I am a woman, no less.
Seeing the days push away
from what was divine creation
But corrupted by Missing Letters
of times thought but discarded in anxious anticipation

I am inspired by the writer.
The one who tells of good works
while ill equipped to do so.
The mentor who is inspired when he ceases to thrive
A door opening to what has been closed.

I am an overture, the start to something bigger,
The glimpse of streaks of gold and orange
knowing from the ground up
my colorless world will be lit by lost words and Found Letters.
