Galaxy Beach/Abby Russel

When the world is no longer kind
There is a place I like to go
It’s not too hard to find
I simply close my eyes

It is a place called Galaxy Beach
A quiet place with water still
Warm wind comes in soft gusts
Restful is my will

The sky is a dark canvas
Of silky purples and blues
The canvas has been rained upon
With pinpoints of silver hues

Reflected in the waters
Are the stars so blinding and bright
It is as if God holds a mirror
To the wondrous works of His might

I rest on the beach of stars
My back against the cool sand
Arms at my side, I invite the stars
I slowly outstretch my hand

The sky smiles and reaches back
She collects deep from her tars
And in my palms, too
Appear two pools of dazzling stars
